Tribute to chocolat chaud

This was my first time dining at Ladurée.  Everyone raves about it for the macarons and the hot chocolate.  The macarons were amazing (our favorite was the the blackcurrant violet flavor) and the hot chocolate was very good - but my hot chocolate standards are pretty high.

Angelina's!  Reigning champ for best hot chocolate ever.  I have had many wonderful experiences inside this café such as: 1) My mind being completely blown by the amazing hot chocolate 

2) Philosophizing for hours with study abroad friends 

3) Being seated at the same table as a handsome Frenchman named Sufjan 

4) Spending the afternoon here with lovely Laurie

5) Coming here twice in one week with my husband!

Paris

One winter, many moons ago, I went on study abroad to Paris and it was glorious.

And then we went back!  It was Nate's first time.

One of the highlights of our trip was seeing a classical concert in here.
