A Picnic in Central Park

The more time I spend here the more I love it!  Superficially, as a place, New York is fabulous - everyone knows it, sings it (well I don't sing about it), and dreams about it, but the more time you spend here, the better it becomes.  For example:  the people.  Besides the strangers everywhere, we have only spent time with Mormons, and there is definitely a different crop here than there is in Provo.  Roughly guessing, half of our ward is (or was) involved in the arts - professional opera singers, actors, dancers, models, graphic designers, and architects.  And the other half is in grad school for more normal professions.  Therefore, our ward is full of characters which makes for very interesting church meetings.  Plus, everyone is either allergic to or avoiding gluten - it's the thing to do.

Last week on Thursday I packed dinner and met Nate downtown for a picnic in the park by the Bow Bridge.  It was lovely.

After Central Park we walked to the Rockefeller Center (not close at all by the way) and here are some photos of it that I like.  Such a cool art deco skyscraper!  Plus it's on the beginning credits of 30 Rock.

Do not forget to mention that the picnic lunch you prepared was absolutely amazing. Because it was.
